Chemistry Laboratory

The Chemistry Laboratory is located in a 159.50 m2 area, it is equipped for both individual and group work and for research and teaching activities.
The laboratorial activities are directed to observe, see and consider everything that surrounds us, to stimulate curiosity and seek explanations, to know how to utilise the concepts.

The analytical techniques can also be carried out using specific instruments, such as gas chromatograph, spectrophotometer and liquid chromatography.

Analysis is performed on water, soil, olive oil, flame tests, separation methods, compounds preparation, mixtures and solutions, organic molecules research as well as simulation of functions of the digestive system.

The laboratory can also propose experiences related to the various teaching units suitable for primary and secondary schools.
The Chemistry Laboratory houses a rich collection of rocks and minerals, that can be also studied and observed through a Wood's lamp.
